An alternative view on health

One of the biggest questions today is ‘how can I be more healthy?’ Is it a better diet? More exercise? Or can taking a different view affect your health?

In this series of videos called Lives Lived, individuals found that an understanding of the role spirituality can play in restoring and sustaining health brought healing to various conditions. Find out how they found better health through prayer and a spiritual perspective of life and identity.

Meet Claire. She wasn’t satisfied with the idea of using glasses for the rest of her life to correct her vision, so she began to pray about this. Her vision improved, and she no longer needs her glasses.

How can I explore this further?

In this section of the website, you will find information on prayer and health from a Christian Science perspective.

We have a number of blogs for you to browse, written by four individuals who study and live by the spiritual truths taught in the Bible, and they use what they have learnt to bring healing into the lives of others.

There is also information on Christian Science practitioners who provide spiritual treatment through prayer that results in healing. We also have a directory that will help you find and contact a Christian Science practitioner near you.
Finally, there is information on Christian Science nursing, nurses, and nursing facilities located in the UK

Committee on Publication

The mission of the Committee on Publication is to engage with members of the media, lawmakers and the public-at-large to provide an accurate understanding of Christian Science. It serves as an informational resource to answer questions and clear up misperceptions.

In establishing the Committee office, the church’s founder, Mary Baker Eddy, instructed that this work be carried out “in a Christian manner” (Church Manual, p. 97). The purpose is not spin or the promotion of a public image, but to bear witness to truth. The spirit is that of healing, not criticism of those who disagree.

For more information about the work of the Committee on Publication's world wide work, visit the Press Room here.
