Mini-Focus- Summer 2016
Mini-Focus is a two-day event for people interested in Christian Science and aged between 17 and 40. This year it will take place from 16th - 18th September 2016 and be held at the High Leigh Conference Centre, Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire.
Mini-Focus is a great opportunity to:
- Find out more about God, yourself and our world
- Make new friends and have fun!
Participants have the chance to explore Christian Science through workshops, lectures and discussions lead by Christian Scientists. These events have a loving, relaxed atmosphere where all are welcome to ask questions and share answers with other like-minded people.
Those attending also have the chance to take part in a variety of exciting activities, such as sailing, dancing, kayaking, art, drama, pottery, singing and sports. (Mini-Focus has a smaller range of activities due to the shorter duration).
Junior Focus is an exciting new initiative which arranges for young Christian Science Sunday School Pupils (from 8 - 15 years) in the United Kingdom to travel as a group to a US-based Christian Science summer camp for two weeks during the summer holidays. Junior Focus arrange funding towards the camping and flights so that parents or guardians only make a contribution that they can comfortably afford. This year the group will be travelling to Crystal Lakes in Pennsylvania, USA, in the summer of 2016.
Junior Focus is also helping to fund young people over 16 who would like to take the four week Counsellor in Training Course (CIT). Funding is available on the same basis as above.
